Meli - De Panne - Belgium Posted in 1971 Available to buy in my eBay store Plopsaland De Panne is a Theme Park located near the town of De Panne on the Belgian coast. The Park opened in April 2000. It was built in 1804 as part of the coastal defences to defend England against the armies of Napoleon Bonaparte. Today the Tower has been restored and is open to the public as a museum. William Shakespeare's birthplace Stratford-on-Avon Warwickshire Available for sale on ebay William Shakespeare was born in 1564.  He wrote at least 37 plays and collaborated on several more.  Many of these plays were very successful, both at court and in the public playhouses.  In 1613 Shakespeare retired from the theatre and returned to Stratford-on-Avon.  He died and was buried there in 1616. His plays were comedies, histories and tragedies.  His 17 comedies include A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Among his 10 history plays are Henry V and Richard III. The Rockery - Preston Park - Brighton - Sussex This Postcard is in a very good condition and has not been posted Preston Park is probably the most well-known park in Brighton, and is an important landmark for visitors travelling into Brighton from the north. There are 63 acres of parkland, a formal rose garden, six bowling greens, twelve tennis courts, a children's playground, a croquet lawn, a garden for the blind and a small pond with stepping stones. The ParkRoyal Hotel, Christchurch, New Zealand Posted in 1989 Available to buy in my ebay store Sadly, the ParkRoyal Hotel was destroyed in the 2011 earthquake and has now been grassed over.  The picture below shows the demolition of this once majestic building.
