HELLESYLT: GERAINGER: NORWAY

Hellesylt, Geiranger, Norway Unposted Condition: Excellent Hellesylt is a small village in the municipality of Stranda, Norway. In 2007 the population was around 600. Geiranger is a small tourist town in the western part of Norway in the region called Sunnmore in the municipality of Stranda.

It dates back to the 17th Century, and is the resting place of many of England's most illustrious dead. The western towers and front were rebuilt by Wren in the 18th Century . While rowboats were the primary means for transportation in the marshes and bayous, small sailboats like these were to be found on Lake Pontchartrain.
