Machynlleth is a market town and is twinned with Belleville in Michigan, USA.
There is a long history of human activity in the area and in the late 1990's radiocarbon dating showed that copper mining was taking place in the early Bronze Age (2,750 years ago).

The Postcard was posted in 1978 and is in very good condition with minor corners wear and a slight franking impression along the left side
