Windsor Castle is the largest inhabited Castle in the World and is one of the official residences of the British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II
The major fire at Windsor Castle in November 1992 partly destroyed the ceiling of St. Georges Hall but was subsequently restored.

London - Clock Tower and the Houses of Parliament

  London - Clock Tower and Houses of Parliament Posted in 1917 Blurb on the back of the postcard reads: Erected in 1840 on the site of the old Palace of Westminster covering 8 acres, contains 100 staircases, 11 open courts and 1,100 apartments.  Can be seen Saturday 10 to 4.  Victoria Tower is 340 feet high.  Clock Tower 318 feet.  The four clock dials are each 23 feet in diameter.
