The words on the back of the Postcard read:

This is one of London's noblest pieces of architecture. It dates back to the 17th Century, and is the resting place of many of England's most illustrious dead. The western towers and front were rebuilt by Wren in the 18th Century.

London - Clock Tower and the Houses of Parliament

  London - Clock Tower and Houses of Parliament Posted in 1917 Blurb on the back of the postcard reads: Erected in 1840 on the site of the old Palace of Westminster covering 8 acres, contains 100 staircases, 11 open courts and 1,100 apartments.  Can be seen Saturday 10 to 4.  Victoria Tower is 340 feet high.  Clock Tower 318 feet.  The four clock dials are each 23 feet in diameter.
